CASE STUDIES INVOLVING FINANCE AND PROPERTY DISPUTES

Property Sale Refused

Jennifer McNeil resolved a case whereby parties jointly owned a home that needed to be sold following separation. However, the wife refused. Jennifer represented the husband in this case. The husband was spending an unnecessary amount of money on renting and so was keen to release the equity in the family home.

Case Resolved:
Jennifer managed to successfully negotiate a compromise allowing for the sale of the property and a proportion of the net proceeds being released to the parties early to enable them to rehouse. The other substantive issues in the case were resolved by the court. This avoided a number of additional and quite costly court hearings.
